Kakumanu Village

Professor Rao's birthplace, Kakumanu Village, is located in Guntur District in the Telugu language State of Andhra Pradesh, India, at approximately 16.04 degrees North latitude and 80.4 degrees East longitude. It is approximately 23 miles (37 Km) from the city of Guntur, reached by going 18 miles (29 Km) southward to Pedanandipadu (not marked on the map), where Professor Rao attended high school except for the final year, and then 5 miles (8 Km) eastward. From the town of Bapatla, it is located 13 miles (21 Km) in the northwest direction. Also can be seen on the map is Nidubrolu, where Professor Rao attended the final year of his high school studies.
